Poverty Alliance benefit cap survey

The Poverty Alliance is conducting two surveys on the impact of the benefit cap.

Posted In

In January 2022, the Poverty Alliance is launching a campaign to scrap the benefit cap. To help it to do this, it is important that the Poverty Alliance can find out how people have been affected by the benefit cap and evidence its adverse impacts.

The Poverty Alliance is conducting two surveys on the impacts of the benefit cap. Both surveys take around 5–10 minutes to complete. The surveys close on 11 January.

Survey 1: Effects of the Benefit Cap – Survey for Organisations

This survey is open to any organisation in Scotland, or across the rest of the UK, that works with, or has worked with, anyone affected by the benefit cap. You can find the survey here

Survey 2: Effects of the Benefit Cap

This survey is open to anyone who is, or who has been, personally affected by the benefit cap.

Have you been affected by the benefit cap?

The Poverty Alliance is conducting a survey on the impacts of the benefit cap – which limits the total amount of income a person can receive from means-tested benefits to no more than £20,000. (You can check which benefits are affected by the cap at www.gov.uk/benefit-cap.)

If you have any questions about the surveys, please don’t hesitate to contact Suzi at suzi.murning@povertyalliance.org.
