Prospect Community Housing Association Celebrates 30 years
SFHA member Prospect Community Housing Association is celebrating 30 years of providing homes and building communities together by making a short film with local high school pupils.
Prospect began in 1988, when 8 local people came together and decided they wanted to build new quality houses in Wester Hailes, Edinburgh and that’s exactly what they did.
30 years on and with 900 properties, Prospect celebrated this milestone birthday by making a film with local high school pupils, the WHEC Young Film makers.
The film was premiered at a birthday party this week at WHALE, a local community arts centre, where the stars of the film as well as many tenants and staff came together for a community party. One of the founding members, Sheila Bunt, Prospect’s current Vice Chairperson, was also recognised at the event.
