Publication of National Scrutiny Plan

Plan published by Audit Scotland.

Posted In

Earlier this week, Audit Scotland published the National Scrutiny Plan. The national scrutiny plan summarises all planned and announced strategic scrutiny activity in each of Scotland’s 32 councils and is updated every six months to ensure it is up-to-date and comprehensive.

This year, the Scottish Housing Regulator is engaging with 26 councils, with a focus on Gypsy/Traveller site standards, services for people who are homeless and service quality.

Ian Brennan, Director of Regulation, said: “The National Scrutiny Plan sets out the range of work that will be carried out by scrutiny bodies. We are committed to safeguarding the interests of people who are homeless, or may become homeless, tenants and Gypsy/Travellers.

“The plan sets out the scrutiny activity that we will carry out in 2019/20 in a clear and accessible way.”
