Rents for 2018/19 approved by HHP Board
Rent increase for houses and garages was set at 3.9% (Nov RPI) for 2018/19.
At Hebridean Housing Partnership’s (HHP) Board meeting on Wednesday 14 February 2018, the rent increase for houses and garages was set at 3.9% (Nov RPI) for 2018/19. The HHP Board said it reached this decision after considering the results of the recent consultation process with tenants.
HHP Chair Norman Macleod said:
“We recognise we are living in very challenging economic times, and any increase for tenants is unwelcome. The increase is required to enable us to carry out the investment programme in our homes to ensure that every home delivers a high standard of energy efficiency. which should contribute to reducing the current high energy costs.”
The board will meet on 21 March 2018 to review the detailed budgets for investment and development.
