Sanctuary submits plans for 131 affordable Paisley homes

Sanctuary has submitted a planning application in order to build new homes in Glenburn, Paisley.

Housing provider Sanctuary has submitted a planning application for more than 130 affordable homes in Glenburn, Paisley.

Sanctuary Homes hopes to build 131 properties on vacant land directly across from the shops in Skye Crescent.

The plans include 1, 2 and 3 bedroom homes for social rent and shared equity sale. If approved the project would include cottage flats and wheelchair-friendly accommodation.

The majority of the homes would be managed by Sanctuary Scotland for social rent, with 22 sold for low cost home ownership. The site was acquired by Sanctuary with funding from the Scottish Government.

Pat Cahill, the Director of Sanctuary Scotland, said: “These homes would be Sanctuary’s first in Glenburn and would help to address a shortage of affordable housing in the area.”

The planning application can be viewed on the Renfrewshire Council website.
