Scottish Housing Regulator marks retirement of Deputy Chair Anne Jarvie CBE
Anne retires from SHR Board after seven years.
Anne Jarvie, Deputy Chair of the Scottish Housing Regulator, has retired after seven years on SHR’s Board. Anne joined SHR Board as a member in 2013, going on to become Deputy in 2015.
George Walker, SHR Chair, said: “We are extremely grateful for Anne’s input to SHR’s work. She has seen through many changes over that time as well as stepping up to be Deputy and support Kay Blair and then myself. I have been thankful to Anne for being an excellent board colleague and source of expertise, particularly when I joined as Chair.
"On behalf of all my fellow board members, and the SHR staff team, we would like say thank you to Anne and wish her the very best for the future.”
Anne Jarvie said: “I have very much enjoyed my time at SHR. I am proud to have been part of what SHR has achieved.
"I hope, as the board evolves, we will continue to see diversity around the table and, in particular, more women. I would like to thank George and all the SHR team for supporting me during my time at SHR.”
Anne came to SHR following a distinguished career in nursing and the civil service. She served as the Chief Nursing Officer for Scotland until her retirement in September 2004. She subsequently chaired the Expert Group commissioned by NHS Lothian to consider services provided to older people. Anne served as a Non-Executive member of NHS 24 for eight years until 2015 and was also a trustee of St John's Ambulance Board from 2012 to 2018.
