Scottish Procurement Alliance Hosting Fire Safety And Compliance Forum
Scottish Procurement Alliance (SPA) are hosting a Fire Safety and Compliance Forum at their Livingston offices on Thursday 16th August.
The event will bring together experts from across the sector along with SPA partners to work collaboratively and formulate a structure to the forthcoming SPA Fire Safety and Compliance Framework.
SPA was created both by and for organisations that buy products and services for the construction, refurbishment and maintenance of social housing and public buildings in Scotland.
Now representing over 80 Scottish Contracting Authorities, SPA, in association with its parent organisation LHC which has been advising the public sector on technical procurement for over 50 years, is utilising its position in the market to provide technical procurement support to the public sector throughout Scotland.
The forum is for SPA partners as well as public sector organisations who are interested in sharing ideas, addressing concerns or requirements concerning fire safety and compliance in Scotland. There will be key speakers who will be addressing some of the challenges faced by housing providers and the wider public sector followed by an open discussion.
Colin Scoines, Framework Manager, said: “Early engagement with our partners has proven invaluable when setting up complex, technical frameworks. Each framework is different and requires a specific approach to the challenge.
"The landscape is changing with recent events and there is a clear focus on ensuring all organisations’ fire safety policies and strategies are up to date and relevant for today’s requirements and proportional to the associated risks.
We would like to invite you to join us to discuss the creation of the framework, the technical requirement which are important to your organisation and the format in which the services can be accessed.”
