The recruitment process starts this week and the association hopes to make an appointment in the early summer.

Southside Housing Association has begun the recruitment process for a new chief executive.

It has commissioned Aspen People to assist it in finding a replacement for its long-standing senior officer, Patrick Mc Grath, who steps down this September after nearly 25 years in post.

Margaret McIntyre, Chair of Southside Association, said: “We have just completed an option appraisal project with Arneil Johnston which provided us with a rigorous evaluation of all our options and the Management Committee is delighted to continue as an independent organisation with its own leadership team.

“Our thanks to Patrick for his steady guidance and support over many years. He leaves the association with strong governance and robust finances and will be handing over an exciting set of challenges to the new chief executive.

“The association has plans for service delivery, and we are looking for a candidate with a strong commitment to working with local communities."

The recruitment process starts this week and the association hopes to make an appointment in the early summer.
