SPA welcomes new marketing apprentice

In September 2020 the Scottish Procurement Alliance (SPA) grew its team with the addition of Abi Houliston as new Marketing Apprentice. Abi joins the marketing department to help raise brand awareness of SPA and serve its partners via the website, social media and other communications. Through SPA's apprenticeship schemes, it supports young people at the beginning of their career through a combination of workplace experience and training.

Abi joins as a recent graduate in English Literature from Edinburgh University with a passion for digital marketing and photography. The SPA team are excited to have her join the team to support the marketing and communications operations.

Clive Feeney, SPA Director, said: “We are delighted to have Abi join the SPA team as our new Marketing Apprentice. At SPA, we believe in providing social value both externally in communities through our Community Benefit Fund and internally in our own offices and recruitment process.

“It is crucial to give back to society through creating jobs and helping young people get a valuable start in their career.”

Abi spoke of her new role at SPA.

She said : “I am so excited about my role and joining SPA. I’m looking forward to being part of a growing organisation whose values I really relate to.

“As well as this, my colleagues have all been very welcoming I’m eager to get started in my role and my training in marketing.”
