Spaces available at Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) Registration events

Get yourself ‘registration ready’ by attending one of two events organised by The Coalition of Care Providers Scotland (CCPS) Housing Support Enabling Unit (HSEU) and Workforce Development Network (WDN)

The Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) register for care at home and housing support workers opens on 2 October 2017.

With around 45,000 workers expected to register, it’s the biggest ever group of workers required to with SSSC and getting all staff “registration ready” is a major challenge for the sector.

The Coalition of Care Providers Scotland (CCPS) Housing Support Enabling Unit (HSEU) and Workforce Development Network (WDN) have therefore organised two events that aim to provide information and advice to support providers as they prepare for registration of relevant staff.  The events will be held in Edinburgh and Glasgow.

Scottish Social Services Council staff will deliver presentations and facilitate discussion on registration and Fitness to Practice (including PRTL, Codes of Practice and Open Badges).

There will also be a presentation on the Duty of Candour due to be implemented across all health and social care services in April 2018.

The events are aimed primarily at employers. Lunch and refreshments will be provided.

There are still places at the two events.

  • Glasgow - Wednesday 27th September
  • Edinburgh - Thursday 19th October

You can find the full details and register to attend these free events here.
