Tee-riffic charity golf day raises over £8,170 for Lintel Trust

Proceeds will help community projects across Scotland.

Fourteen teams joined Lintel Trust at its 23rd Annual Golf Tournament, which was hosted at Dalmahoy Hotel and Country club.

The event, sponsored by Scottish Procurement Alliance, Cruden and Kingdom Housing Association, saw participants take to the club’s West Course to enjoy a round of golf and some friendly competition.

The final results were close, with the top four teams all boasting impressive scores. Rutherglen and Cambuslang Housing Association retained the Lintel Cup, having won it last year, while the Cruden team missed out on a medal by just two points.

The money raised from the day will help Lintel Trust, part of the Link Group of social enterprises, provide support to voluntary organisations and local communities throughout Scotland to help provide solutions for people in housing need.

Lintel Trust would like to thank the event’s sponsors, Scottish Procurement Alliance, Cruden, Kingdom Housing Association and Sidey, as well as the teams for attending and to those who donated prizes for the charity raffle.

Kate Christie, Lintel Trust Senior Business Development Officer, said:

“What a great day everyone had and a fantastic total raised, too. Thanks to the generosity of the teams and sponsors, we will be able to help many more community projects across Scotland.”

Over the past year, Lintel Trust has supported a variety of housing advice and support services, including No Place like Home (DPHS, Aberdeen City), Crisis Edinburgh Housing Coaching, Butterfly Trust Mentoring and Support, South Ayrshire Escape from Homelessness Starter Pack Project, Mary’s Kitchen (Bield), Houseability and the Urban Cafe (Glasgow City Mission).
