Tell SFHA how you would like the Apprenticeship Levy to be spent!
The SFHA Survey on the Apprenticeship Levy, which asks members how the Scottish Government should spend the new fund, is available now to be completed.
The Apprenticeship Levy, will be available to be spent by the Scottish Government next year.
The Scottish Government have some ideas of how they would like to spend it including:
- Increasing the number of Modern Apprenticeships available
- Widening access to Graduate Level Apprenticeships
- Making a pot of funding available for workforce development
- Expanding ‘Foundational Apprenticeships’ which give school age people the chance to get work experience
The Scottish Government are seeking views on how best to spend this money, and you have a chance to influence this!
Commenting on the consultation, Zhan McIntyre, Policy Lead at the SFHA said:
“This is a great opportunity to influence how this money is spent in Scotland.
“Housing Associations across Scotland see the value of modern apprenticeships, and we are pleased there is an opportunity to further fund and support access to employment and training for young people. I hope our members take the chance to complete the very short survey, so we can go back to the Scottish Government with a firm view of what is best for our sector.”
The survey will be available until the 12th August, and will take less than five minutes to complete.
