The Scottish Government Enterprise and Skills Agencies Review

Social Enterprise Scotland responded to the Scottish Government Enterprise and Skills Agencies Review that took place in July 2016.

In July 2016, the Scottish Government undertook an Enterprise and Skills review.

Social Enterprise Scotland, of which the SFHA is a member, responded to this consultation, and a copy of their response is available here.

Social Enterprise Scotland called for genuine inclusive growth based on the social enterprise model, highlighting the rural and remote areas success story, calling on all public agencies to prioritise social enterprise, jobs and service users and put ethical business practices first - placing all this in the context of a new, democratic and inclusive economic model.

Housing associations and co-operatives already operate as excellent examples of social enterprise models.
