Eildon Housing Association are looking for people with the right skills and experience to join their board; have you got what it takes?

Posted In

Eildon Housing Association is a leading housing and care provider in the Scottish Borders with over 40 years’ experience of serving our local communities. We have an ambitious strategy and are looking to develop a record number of new homes over the next 5 years, as well as develop new and improved services. We are looking for people with the right skills and experience to join our Board to help us build on our success.

If you are committed to excellence in the provision of housing, care and support services, and are motivated to play a leading part in a forward looking charitable organisation, we would like to hear from you.

Voluntary Board members are responsible for providing leadership to the Association through the development and oversight of our strategic vision.  In particular, we are looking for new Board members who can demonstrate knowledge and skills in one or more of the following areas – finance, business, housing management services, legal and organisational development.

The Board meets 9 times a year and Board members will also be required to attend additional Committee meetings, and a strategic planning day. Most meetings take place in the early evening. Full induction and on-going training is provided.

Although this is a voluntary position, Board members are reimbursed for out of pocket expenses.

We are keen that the composition of our Board reflects the diversity of our local communities, and we would particularly welcome interest from female candidates.

If this opportunity interests you and you think you could make a contribution to the on-going success of Eildon Housing Association please contact the Chairman or Chief Executive for an informal chat – Tel: 01750 725900 or contact us by email – enquiries@eildon.org.uk
