SFHA partners with SDS to deliver Skills for Growth in housing masterclass
Skills for Growth is a fully-funded skills support programme for small and medium sized employers run by Skills Development Scotland (SDS), the national skills agency.
As part of its ongoing work on routes into the housing sector, SFHA has partnered with Skills Development Scotland to deliver a programme for the social housing sector. Funding has been secured for 10–15 housing associations and co-operatives to participate in the Skills for Growth programme for the next three years. Skills for Growth will lead a free masterclass on Tuesday 22 June.
What is Skills for Growth?
Skills for Growth is a fully-funded skills support programme for small and medium-sized employers, run by Skills Development Scotland (SDS), the national skills agency.
Employers benefit from having their own dedicated adviser from SDS and a specialist consultant who helps make the best use of your management skills, assess the skills of your staff and work with training providers to fill the gaps.

Skills for Growth Masterclass
Tuesday 22 June, 10:30 - 12:00
The masterclass is an introduction into the service and will be delivered by specialist consultant Connect Three on the themes of succession planning, leadership and development which were identified by the housing sector as being key areas. It will be interactive and valuable for attendees and assist in shaping the offering from Skills Development Scotland's Skills for Growth service.
The masterclass will introduce the fully funded and bespoke consultancy support that housing associations can access through Skills for Growth, ensuring that organisations and employees have the correct skill sets to carry out their roles and offer training to enhance skills where appropriate.
