Are you keen to learn more about developing social housing using off site construction?
Come to the SFHA’s Development Conference and learn more about off-site construction
Blog by David Stewart, SFHA Policy Lead
Is off-site construction the best solution to increasing housing delivery and improving the energy efficiency of our homes? Will it become the standard way that we develop our homes or will it remain a novelty, with occasional pilot projects being developed but never becoming mainstream?
This year’s SFHA Development Conference will hear from two speakers with recent hands on experience of delivering social housing projects in Scotland using off-site construction.
What have they learned from the projects, what would they advise others considering developing a project, what are the dos and don’ts, and would they do it again?
The session will be chaired by Lucy Black of the Construction Scotland Innovation Centre, who will be able to advise on support and advice available for associations looking to develop homes off-site.
The Development Conference is being held on 7 February 2017 at Doubletree by Hilton, Glasgow Central. To find out more or book your place please visit www.sfha.co.uk/whats-on.
