SFHA has launched a new information campaign which highlights the benefits of your membership. We will be focusing on different aspects in order to help you, your staff and committee or board to access our full range of member benefits.

Did you know?

As part of your SFHA membership you are also a member of SURF, Scotland’s Regeneration Forum?

What is SURF?

SURF’s overall objective is to improve the lives of, and the opportunities available to, residents in Scotland’s disadvantaged communities.

To meet this goal, SURF’s key aims are:

  • to provide a neutral space for all sectors and stakeholders in Scottish community regeneration to share their knowledge and experience.

  • to stimulate challenging debate about community regeneration policy and practice

  • to maintain community regeneration’s high profile in Scotland’s political agenda

  • to provide relevant and constructive feedback to key policymakers.

The SURF network provides a platform for debate on community regeneration in Scotland. It acts as a channel for information, consultation and policy proposals, based on the knowledge and experience of its extensive membership and wider connections.

SURF network activity includes seminars, conferences, international policy exchanges, the annual SURF Awards for Best Practice in Community Regeneration and the distribution of information and comment in a variety of formats.

What’s included in SURF membership?

  • free promotion for your organisation via networking opportunities, participation in discussions and free event advertisement on SURF’s website

  • advanced notice and invitations to SURF events, discount on fee paying events, access to SURF journal and publications

  • opportunity to connect with an influential network of policymakers and practitioners and to contribute to SURF network responses to policy consultations.

Further information on membership benefits is available on the SURF website.
