DWP statistics reveal the impact of the reduced benefit cap

Figures recently released by the DWP show a big increase in the numbers affected by the reduction in the Benefit Cap. Overall, there were over 3,600 households in Scotland that were affected by the Benefit Cap in May, compared to around 800 that were affected before the Benefit Cap was reduced from £26,000 to £20,000. Of the 3,600 households affected, around 820 were housing association tenants.
