“Effective governance in landlords has never been more important”, says SHR CEO
SFHA Governance Conference, 6 and 7 September, Radisson Blu Hotel in Glasgow.
This year’s SFHA Governance Conference, taking place on the 6 and 7 September at the Radisson Blu Hotel in Glasgow, will feature a panel session on Assurance Statements.
Delegates will have the opportunity to ask the panel questions they have about the statements, prior to submission in October, or any other queries they may have about the regulatory requirements in general.
Michael Cameron, Chief Executive of the Scottish Housing Regulator will feature on the panel. He said: “Effective governance in landlords has never been more important, and that’s why we have put landlord self-assurance at the heart of how we regulate. I’m looking forward to discussing how we can make that a reality in every landlord.”
As well as focussing on Assurance Statements and the new Self Assurance Toolkit, the conference will look at FOI, recruiting governing bodies, model rules, GDPR and organisations that came out stronger on the other side after intervention.
This year's conference will return to the Radisson Blu Hotel in Glasgow. Residential places for at the conference start at £460 for SFHA members or £710 for non-members. If you book three places, you will receive a fourth day place for free.
