Ahead of this year’s Housing Management Conference, SFHA asked you why you love working in housing and here are some of the replies so far:

“I love working in housing, because every day I get the chance to help people live better lives.”

“I love working in housing as no two days are the same.”

“I love working in housing, because nothing beats the job satisfaction I get from working hard to help provide better lives for a community and developing relationships with customers.

“No day is the same in housing, and it’s full of challenges and opportunities.

“My job allows me to provide a service which I always strive to improve the level of and also lets me be part of and help guide customers through difficult times in their lives.

“Working in housing develops my knowledge and experience of other agencies and gives me an appreciation and understanding of how they can help me give our customers the best service experience and provide them with as many fulfilling opportunities as possible to help them live a happy, safe, sustainable and inclusive life in our homes and within the community.”

“I love working in housing, because it means families across Scotland have a safe, warm place to live.”

What is it you love about working in housing management? Let us know by tweeting or posting on LinkedIn using the hashtag #Ilovehousing

Your tweets will be displayed anonymously at the SFHA Housing Management Conference, and you will also get the chance to expand on why you love working in housing at the event.

If you don’t have Twitter or LinkedIn, then please email your responses to mstephen@sfha.co.uk or kdevin@sfha.co.uk so they can be featured at the conference.

The SFHA Housing Management Conference takes place on 24 and 25 September at The Studio in Glasgow, and there are still places left if you haven’t yet booked your place.

Day delegate rates start at £229 for SFHA members (£319 for non-members) which includes attendance, lunch and all refreshments. When you book to attend both days of the event, you can come for £395 – a saving of £63. Book your place by visiting the 'what's on section' on the SFHA website.
