Find out what you need to know – The New Regulatory Framework

At last year's SFHA Chairs Conference, the Scottish Housing Regulator outlined its initial proposals for a revised Regulatory Framework. One year on, the SHR has now conducted a formal consultation on these proposals – which it is aiming to finalise in February 2019 with a view to finalising a revised Framework in April 2019.

The SHR will lead a session on the new regulatory framework at this year’s Chairs Conference, which takes place on the 1 & 2 February at the DoubleTree by Hilton Glasgow Westerwood in Cumbernauld. At this session, the SHR will outline the outcome of the consultation and the likely final content of the new framework, offering the opportunity for any questions delegates may have about the future shape of regulation.

As well as the new regulatory framework, the conference will look at the forthcoming extension of Freedom of Information legislation, what Chairs need to know in order to ensure their organisation is meeting regulatory requirements, community benefits and the SFHA housing innovation projects.

The conference will also see the launch of the SFHA Senior Staff Succession Planning guidance, and discuss the SFHA’s forthcoming review of its Model Rules.

The conference is taking place on the 1 & 2 February and is returning to the DoubleTree by Hilton Westerwood Spa & Golf Resort (formerly Westerwood Hotel). Residential places start at £460 for members and £690 for non-members - so don't delay booking your place!

Why not book two places and bring a colleague for free? If your organisation books two places (either residential or day) you can bring a third day delegate for free on either day 1 or 2!
