First speakers confirmed for SFHA Property Repairs and Asset Management Conference
3 December at The Arches in Glasgow.
SFHA is pleased to confirm that bookings are now live for the its Property Repairs and Asset Management Conference which takes place on 3 December at The Arches in Glasgow.
Event speakers include:
- River Clyde Homes: Jonathan Grant (Head of Customer Services) and Elaine Cannon (Service Improvement Manager) will present on the Broomhill regeneration project, which has seen the transformation of three tower blocks in the area into a thriving community space, including retirement housing.
- Maryhill Housing Association: Bryony Willett (Chief Executive) and Paul Griffin (IT Manager) will outline the Glenavon Road project through which three tower blocks have become some of the most technologically advanced in Scotland following the installation of Internet of Things (IoT) technology.
Both sessions will look at the projects from an asset management perspective, sharing best practice and lessons learned. Moreover, tying in with the Scottish Government’s Housing to 2040 agenda, both will illustrate the case for investment in social housing. The conference will also explore how projects like these are helping to tackle the stigma around social housing by providing some of the most innovative housing solutions in the country.
This year’s conference is focused on SFHA members. The federation is keen to hear from organisations that would like to lead a workshop at the event in order to share best practice and lessons learned from their own experiences. The last few years have seen a raft of new regulations for areas such as energy efficiency and fire safety –would your organisation like to share how it implemented measures to meet EESSH, for example, that might be of interest to others in preparation for EESSH2? Have you learned lessons from installing new technology that might be of use to peers? If you’re interested in leading a workshop, please get in touch with Stacey Dingwall, Policy Lead sdingwall@sfha.co.uk by 30 September 2019.
Taking place on Tuesday 3 December at The Arches in Glasgow, the delegate fee for the conference starts at £229 for SFHA Members (£319 for non-members) which includes attendance, lunch and all refreshments.
Book three and bring a colleague for free!*
If your organisation books three day delegates you can bring a fourth delegate for FREE!
