First winning workshop revealed for Pitch Your Idea contest

Workshop by NHS Scotland and Keep Scotland Beautiful will focus on Place Standard Tool.

The SFHA is pleased to announce the first winning workshop for its ‘Pitch Your Idea’ contest. The workshop, which will take place at the SFHA’s Annual Conference, will be led by NHS Health Scotland and Keep Scotland Beautiful on the Place Standard Tool and the role it can play in place-making as well as the practical opportunities it can generate at a local level for housing associations, other stakeholders and local communities.

The workshop will briefly summarise the concept that place impacts on health and wellbeing and that empowering individuals and communities to gain control over the environments that shape their lives is a fundamental driver of good health and well-being. It will then introduce the Place Standard Tool.

Delegates will gain a basic understanding of the tool and how it can be applied locally and the potential opportunities it can create.

To hear more about the Place Standard Tool, come along to this year’s SFHA Annual Conference, Housing Scotland 2018. The conference takes place on 12 and 13 June at the Radisson Blu Hotel in central Glasgow.

Residential places start from £595 for SFHA members and £925 for non-members or attend as a day delegate for as little as £270. Take advantage of the current offers and book three places to receive a fourth free, or, in support of Year of the Young Person, bring along an apprentice for free for the day when you book a minimum of a day delegate place.
