Five reasons to come to the Scottish Factoring Network Conference!

Scottish Factoring Network Conference, 30 November 2018, Grand Central Hotel, Glasgow.

Posted In

Returning for its sixth year, the Scottish Factoring Network Conference will provide delegates with an update on the latest policy and legal developments through strategic plenary sessions, as well as operational advice through selection of practical workshops.

Here are our top five reasons for attending:

1 Hear from MSPs on the Working Group on Maintenance of Tenement Scheme Property

In this interactive session, delegates will have the chance to hear from an invited panel of MSPs who will talk about the work of the Working Group on Maintenance of Tenement Scheme Property.

2 Find out how to keep Title Deeds up to date

Alison Brynes of TC Young will discuss the importance of ensuring Title Deeds are kept up to date and will highlight some examples of where issues can arise.

3 Hear ‘how to be brilliant’ from an inspiration speaker!

This year’s conference will open with inspirational speaker Andy Whittaker, who will challenge your habits and ways of thinking to re-energise and enthuse you for the challenges that lie ahead.

4 Find out how to take on the challenge of unfactored blocks

Beth Reilly of Thenue Housing Association will discuss the challenges of carrying out repairs and maintenance on previously unfactored blocks.

5 Get interactive using Slido

Our new interactive platform, Slido, allows delegates to join in the conversation throughout plenary sessions. Ask questions and answer polls and see them in real time on the screen! Better yet, all of the data is stored so that all questions and bigger issues can be followed up and addressed in more detail at a later date!

Book your place

The conference takes place on the 30 November and will be returning to the Grand Central Hotel in Glasgow.

Delegate fees start at £229 for members of SFHA, SHARE and GWSF, and £299 for non-members. To book your place or for more information, please visit www.sfha.co.uk/whats-on.
