General Election hustings
9 December, Glasgow Caledonian University.
SFHA believes that everyone living in Scotland deserves a warm, energy efficient, affordable home, in a thriving community, and many of the policy areas that remain reserved to the UK Parliament impact upon this aim.
SFHA has invited representatives of each of Scotland’s main political parties to take part in a General Election hustings event to discuss issues that are relevant to the social housing sector. Panellists will answer questions from the audience on key issues such as Brexit, Universal Credit and energy policy.
This hustings event will give you with the opportunity to ask candidates how their parties’ policies could affect your organisation, tenants and customers.
The hustings is taking place on 9 December at the SFHA's office at 149 St Vincent Street. Arrival is from 18:30 for sandwiches and refreshments in the Deeprose Theatre. The event starts at 19:00 sharp and will finish at 20:30.
To ensure a wide-ranging discussion, SFHA is inviting you to submit questions in advance of the event. Using SLIDO, an interactive online platform, you can ask questions straight from your smart phone or tablet.
