Housing Impact Manifesto - Pledge your support

A pledge for social housing providers in Scotland to measure, understand, and grow our social and economic impact in order to make a difference and deliver our social purpose across Scotland together.

Posted In

Social housing providers are social purpose organisations.

Social value is part of everything we do. To understand how we make a difference and deliver our social purpose, we need to measure our social and economic impact. Creating social impact should inform our investment decisions, demonstrating value for money, improving services, driving growth, and influencing stakeholders. The potential is enormous. We are working together to develop the right approach. We want housing providers to understand their impact to drive better outcomes.  We want a common approach that shows the impact of the whole Scottish housing sector. We are co-designing an approach, building on sector leading tools and methods.

Our goal is to create a simple and robust framework which is flexible, proportionate, realistic and achievable, with support and advice for housing providers to embed the approach. Measuring and using impact information will support openness, curiosity, honesty, great decision making and better outcomes for people and communities in Scotland. Let’s make it happen!

About the manifesto
