Housing Management Conference – a new format for 2017

Housing Management Conference – a new format for 2017

Posted In

The SFHA Housing Management Conference will take place on 13 and 14 June at the Grand Central Hotel in Glasgow's city centre, and, this year, the event looks and feels a bit different .

Specialisation has been happening for a while now, with many organisations choosing to have specialised officers dealing with specific duties. While the SFHA is offering two great days of learning and networking, the conference has been organised to allow specialised officers to pick the day that suits them best.

  • Day One will focus on safeguarding rental income and address issues faced by officers collecting rents and chasing tenant arrears.
  • Day two will focus on sustainable tenancies and communities.

The conference sessions this year will follow a strategic and operational streaming to allow delegates to get the most out of their time at the session and to talk to peers about similar issues.

Topics that will be covered at the event include:

  • Welfare reform – latest updates and what do they mean for your role and organisation
  • Social heart, commercial head
  • Housing options for vulnerable groups
  • Assisting vulnerable tenants

The SFHA has made the booking process as flexible as possible. Prices start at the SFHA member rate of £219 for attending one day, and there is a saving of £63 if you book both days. You can also send different staff members to either of the two days.
