The SFHA is delighted to announce Moira Bayne, Chief Executive of Housing Options Scotland, as one of the speakers at this year’s Housing Management Conference. Moira will join Isobel Anderson from University of Stirling and Jill Pritchard for a workshop on ‘making accessible the new mainstream’.

“Good housing management can prevent problems from arising or deal with them quickly when they do.”
The ‘making accessible the new mainstream’ workshop will introduce and highlight the RCOT guidance Adaptions Without Delay then present key findings from new research into the effectiveness of allocations and lettings practise for accessible and adapted social housing in Scotland.
The study collected new evidence from an in-depth examination of three local authority areas, including hearing experiences of disabled applicants and tenants and understanding the approaches of housing providers.
The conference takes place on 24 and 25 September at The Studio in Glasgow city centre. Day delegate rates start at £229 for SFHA members (£319 for non-members) which includes attendance, lunch and all refreshments.
