Housing Scotland 2019 Sponsors’ Week: Really Good Data Protection

11 and 12 June, Radisson Blu Hotel, Glasgow.

Posted In

Really Good Data Protection (RGDP LLP), which specialises in the provision of data protection officer (DPO) services to businesses and organisations that choose to outsource their data protection requirements, is delighted to be one of the sponsors of this year’s SFHA Annual Conference, Housing Scotland 2019.

RGDP helps organisations meet the compliance requirements of the Data Protection Act 2018 and the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). The company serves customers from the public, private and third sectors, including numerous housing associations in Scotland. RGDP’s DPOs also provide advice and assistance concerning Freedom of Information and Environmental Information Regulations legislation and practice.

RGDP recognises that there is no one-size-fits-all solution to its customers’ GDPR and FOI compliance needs. As such, it offers a broad range of services and delivers a risk-based solution tailored to meet the specific needs of each customer. Many of RGDP’s customers are SMEs, which must be GDPR compliant but either don’t require a full-time DPO and/or lack the specialist knowledge and resources to employ an in-house DPO.

RGDP likes to have regular face-to-face time with its customers in order to get to know their people, better understand their business, and manage/monitor their compliance more effectively. The frequency of visits is typically half a day each month for a housing association, depending on the customer’s requirements, and the remainder of RGDP’s advice and assistance is delivered remotely.

Mark Chynoweth, RGDP’s General Manager said: “We offer a high-quality and tailored GDPR and FOI solution to any business or organisation that needs cost-effective advice and assistance. RGDP identifies and prioritises data protection and FOI related risks to the business and provides as much or as little support as the customer needs, in line with their budget.”

This year’s conference will return to the Radisson Blu Hotel in Glasgow city centre and will be held on 11 and 12 June.

Residential places are now sold out, but you can still attend for the day, with prices from £280 (SFHA members).

If your organisations books three day delegates, you can bring a fourth delegate for the day for free.
