Housing Scotland digital magazine: coronavirus focus

By Sally Thomas, SFHA Chief Executive.

Posted In

When the first cases of coronavirus started to be reported, no one could have predicted just how much our lives – and our work – would change. We are incredibly proud of how Scotland’s housing associations and co-operatives have responded, so we decided to create this special digital edition of Housing Scotland magazine to show how the social housing sector has risen to the challenge of continuing to deliver during a global pandemic.

This supplement looks back on the lockdown period, and includes articles on:

  • SFHA’s work, including with key sector partners, and the support we have provided to date

  • How our members have responded to crisis in order to keep delivering for their communities

  • Delivering specialist housing and care support services during a pandemic

  • ‘A day in the life’ of housing association staff delivering frontline services during the crisis

  • Why building affordable housing must be at the heart of Scotland’s recovery from Covid-19

After pausing our printed Housing Scotland magazine due to the effects of the coronavirus crisis and, now, given continued government restrictions, we are looking at how we can develop our magazine for the benefit of our readers. With offices continuing to be closed and health and safety remaining a top priority, SFHA will be distributing our magazine content digitally for the foreseeable future.

We would be very grateful if you would take part in this short survey to give us feedback on this edition which will help us to develop future editions.
