Is your Property Maintenance Department fit for the future?

SFHA Property Repairs and Asset Managment Conference, 11 September, Murrayfield Stadium, Edinburgh

Posted In

This year’s Property Repairs and Asset Management Conference, which takes places on 11 September at Murrayfield Stadium, will open with a look to the future, and will explore how new technologies can help property maintenance professionals to better manage their assets.

The session will examine the potential of digital technology to improve customer service and planned investment, including a presentation on the benefits of Building Information Management (BIM) for housing. Delegates will also hear about the potential of new technology to help tenants manage their fuel bills and to enable social landlords to access energy in more efficient ways.

The session will conclude with a landlord demonstrating how they have embraced digital technology to move to mobile working, and the benefits this brought to their organisation and tenants.

Leading this session is Paul Dodd. As an Associate Director with Scottish Futures Trust, Paul is a member of the Construction Review Delivery Team. This is a joint working group between the Scottish Government and Scottish Futures Trust to deliver the recommendations of The Review of Scottish Public Sector Procurement in Construction, published in October 2013.

Paul currently leads on a variety of work streams, including the creation of a new Community Infrastructure Benchmark Database; development of a new Community Benefits Toolkit for Construction; and development of a new Whole Life Appraisal Tool for the built environment.

Paul is also a member of the Scottish BIM Delivery Group. The objective of this group is to support and enable the Scottish Public Sector to adopt BIM Level 2. The work of this group is set out within the Scottish BIM Implementation Plan which was published in September 2015.

To find out more about new technologies which can help property maintenance employees better manage their assets, and to hear about fire safety, EESSH2, gas and electrical safety, procurement and many more key issues in property repairs or asset management, come along to SFHA’s Property Repairs and Asset Management Conference this September.

This year’s conference takes place on 11 September at Murrayfield Stadium in Edinburgh. The new venue is accompanied by a new format, allowing delegates to learn, share, and network all in one day. An extra networking opportunity is provided at the drinks and canapés reception, included in the day delegate rate package.

The day delegate rate is £219 for SFHA members and £299 for non-members. Why not book two places and receive a third FREE?
