Keep up to date with THE issues for Rural housing associations in Scotland

The Scottish Rural and Islands Housing Conference covers a range of topical issues concerning rural housing and communities in Scotland and this year the conference will be looking at the value of rural and islands housing associations to the local economy and their communities delegates will hear sessions on What is Good Rural Governance? and how can technology enable rural associations?

As always, workshops will provide a more practical and in-depth look at issues including Housings Place in Economic Strategy, Rural Fuel Poverty and the Shape of Services for Older People.

Hosted by East Lothian Housing Association  will take place on 26 and 27 October at Macdonald Marine Hotel in North Berwick. The pre-conference RIHAF meeting and study tour will take place on Wednesday 25 October and we return to the Macdonald Marine Hotel & Spa in North Berwick. Renowned for its beautiful coastal location and glorious 19th century Victorian architecture. 

This year will see the introduction of The RIHAF Development of the Year Award. The award is an  opportunity for rural housing associations across Scotland to enter their best developments.  To enter simply bring along a one sided A3 poster. All entries will be displayed throughout the conference and delegates will choose a winner to be announced on Friday morning. For more details see the SFHA website.
