Last chance to book your place at this year’s Finance Conference!

SFHA Finance Conference, 13 & 14 November 2018, Crieff Hydro, Perthshire.

The way housing associations do business is changing like never before. Technology and innovation, as well as legislative changes, mean that day-to-day work is evolving. How do we make sure we can adapt to these changes?

This year’s SFHA Finance Conference will focus on the future of finance. The conference will offer practical sessions which aim to both inform and inspire, and will kick off with delegates hearing from a digital innovator.

Tuesday’s sessions include Matthew Gardiner of Trafford Housing Association talking about changing the digital landscape; Ian Brennan giving an overview of the sector from the perspective of the regulator; David Cannon and Jim Burberry talking about making tax digital; and David Davison not only giving his advice on steps to avoid pension scams, but also giving a hot-off-the-press SHPs valuation.

Wednesday’s sessions see a panel of speakers talking about the digitalisation of housing; Sally Thomas of SFHA, Nick Pollard of Kingdom Housing Association, and Alistair Berwick of ATFS giving their views on the future of finance; and for the first time at our Finance Conference, a session on HR for non-HR staff by Marianne McJannett.

Other highlights of the conference include sessions on managing risk, the changing role of the Finance Manager, GDPR, and treasury management guidance and changes.
