Lessons from Covid-19: Australia and Scotland

SFHA will be joined by Community Housing Industry Association in Australia.

Webinar: Wednesday 25 November at 07:30

This year has seen Scotland’s social housing sector having to face challenges that we could never have imagined. With the coronavirus crisis putting a focus on the importance of our homes like never before, what can we learn from other countries in relation to our experience?

On 25 November, SFHA will be holding its first ever webinar with housing colleagues from a different continent. We will be joined by the Community Housing Industry Association (CHIA) in Australia (the Australian housing federation) for a session which will allow us to share knowledge and discuss the Australian and Scottish social housing sectors’ experiences of the pandemic.

The webinar will be chaired by Wendy Hayhurst, CEO of CHIA, and it will hear from Catherine Stuart, who is currently conducting research for CHIA about the impact of lockdown. SFHA's Chief Executive, Sally Thomas, will discuss the Scottish social housing sector’s response during the pandemic and the impact it has had on communities.

The webinar will be held on Wednesday 25 November and will start at 07:30 GMT (18:30 Australian Eastern Daylight Time, AEDT). You can book your free place via the SFHA website.
