Letting Agent Registration: deadline approaching
There is now only one month before the deadline for applications.
Organisations carrying out letting agency work which have still to submit an application to the Scottish Letting Agent Register have just one month before the deadline for applications.
Existing agents must make an application to the Register by 1 October 2018. After this date, it will be an offence to carry out letting agency work without having submitted a valid application.
For an application to be valid, alongside providing all necessary information, the applicant must have paid the relevant fee.
If organisations prefer to pay the application fee by invoice, the deadline for applications is 2 September. This ensures all invoices have been processed and paid before 1 October. After 2 September, the only option is to pay the application fee online.
