The SFHA has announced Andrew Van Doorn, Chief Executive of HACT, as one of the speakers at its annual conference, Housing Scotland 2019.

HACT is a UK innovation charity, social enterprise, and industry-focused think/do tank established by the housing association sector. It seeks to influence and innovate in ways that help all housing providers deliver more effectively within their communities. This includes HACT’s pioneering work on community insight and social value that helps housing associations to demonstrate their social impact and value for money.

Mr Van Doorn has worked for HACT for 15 years and in housing, homelessness, supported housing, community development and wider social policy and practice for 26 years. He is a Chair of Stonewall Housing and a Non-Executive Director at London North West University Healthcare NHS Trust.

Mr Van Doorn will speak alongside Lorna Wilson, SFHA Innovation and Future Thinking Lead, and they will explore what social value really means. Hear about how the new Centre for Excellence in Community Investment can help you and your organisation. You will also have the chance to help to design a new impact measurement resource for housing associations.

The SFHA’s flagship event, Housing Scotland 2019, takes place on 11 and 12 June at the newly refurbished Radisson Blu Hotel in central Glasgow. Residential places start from £595 for SFHA members and £950 for non-members. You can also attend the event as a day delegate for as little as £280.

Take advantage of the SFHA’s current offer and book three day places to receive a fourth day place free.
