Minibems joins SFHA as sector associates
Since its beginnings, Minibems has been active in the social housing market in Scotland, with an office in Glasgow since 2018 and becoming a Commercial Associate of the SFHA in 2019.
With heating and cooling consuming half of Europe’s energy, the heat sector is increasingly being challenged to supply heat more efficiently and sustainably. Heat networks will play a major role in decarbonising heating to meet the climate goals. Currently the major challenge for heat networks is to increase their efficiency.
Since its beginnings, Minibems has been active in the social housing market in Scotland, with an office in Glasgow since 2018 and becoming a Commercial Associate of the SFHA in 2019. Minibems has already been specified by a leading Scottish housing association and fitted into a number of live communal heating networks. Minibems is at heart a low carbon technology and comes at a time when the Scottish Government has launched the Green New Deal, with district heating networks central to government policy and due to be enshrined in law via the Heat Networks Bill.
Minibems offers a unique heat network management service; leveraging real-time online monitoring and controls to provide energy efficiency gains, remote diagnosis and repairs as well as metering and billing services. Minibems customers benefit from low energy bills, reduction in unplanned maintenance costs and an accurate and easy billing payment.

Minibems is a UK based company that offers a heat network management service which makes use of an IoT solution to improve energy efficiency and reduce OPEX in heating networks.
Through its heat network management service, Minibems offers its customers real-time network control and metering and billing service propositions for heat and hot water. The service is enabled through a smart IoT device attached to the heat interface unit allowing for real time control of the temperature and flow of the heating fluid and diagnosis capabilities for maintenance providers.
