The SFHA is delighted to announce that Minister for Employability and Training Jamie Hepburn MSP will open its Housing Scotland Apprentice Event 2018 by giving a keynote speech.

This free one-day conference for employers will highlight the importance of apprenticeships to the future of the housing sector and the benefits they can bring to your organisation.

The event will feature expert speakers who will detail every stage of recruiting and managing apprentices and answer your questions. Sessions will explore:

  • The funding and recruitment process for apprentices
  • Why you should take on an apprentice
  • What it’s like to be a Modern Apprentice

The event also sees the return of the SFHA’s Apprentice Challenge, a competition for young people from SFHA member housing associations and co-operatives from across Scotland. The challenge will run throughout the conference, with entrants delivering a presentation which answers questions based on real issues in the housing sector.

The event takes places at the City of Glasgow College’s Riverside Campus on 12 April. Registration begins at 9.30am, and the conference concludes with the SFHA Apprentice Challenge.

The event is open to SFHA members as well as non-members and is being delivered in partnership with CMS Windows.

The event is nearly sold out but a few places remain. For more information, or if you would like to attend this free event, please visit www.sfha.co.uk/whats-on or contact events@sfha.co.uk – book now to avoid disappointment.
