New Data Protection Regulations - How will these affect me?

The General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) have now been published by the European Parliament.

They are due to come into force in Spring 2018.

The SFHA supported members by highlighting that these regulations were forthcoming in our Data Protection Guidance and will update the guide to reflect the GDPR.

Work has been delayed slightly while the implications of Brexit on these regulations are considered.

In the meantime, the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) has produced a 12-step guide to preparing for the GDPR available here.
