No joke: April generates a flurry of verification requests on landlord portals

A number of associations have reported that they have received a high number of verification requests from the DWP following rent changes occurring on 1 April. As one association noted, its tenants were doing what they had been asked in their rent notification letters, which is generating an amount of administrative work before the promised bulk transfer of data can take place. Concern was expressed that this may also affect Managed Payments to Landlords and Third Party Deductions.
