RSLs, public and third sector organisations were given the opportunity to pitch for a workshop slot at this year’s SFHA annual conference, Housing Scotland 2019, and four winners were chosen by conference delegates.

The SFHA has announced that the fourth winning workshop pitch is by the University of Stirling, Horizon Housing Association, and Housing Options Scotland on housing options for disabled people.

This session will present key findings from new research into the effectiveness of allocations and lettings practice for accessible and adapted social housing in Scotland. The study collected new evidence from an in-depth examination of three local authority areas including hearing experiences of disabled applicants and tenants, and understanding the approaches of housing providers.

To hear more about housing options for disabled people come along to Housing Scotland 2019. The conference takes place on 11 and 12 June at the newly refurbished Radisson Blu Hotel in central Glasgow.

Residential places start from £595 for SFHA members and £950 for non-members. Or, day delegates can attend for £280. If you book three day places, you will receive a fourth day place free.

To book your place, or for further information, please visit the conference’s event page on the SFHA website.
