Post Grenfell: Building a safer future for Scotland
Tuesday 24 November, 10:00–11:30.
SPA is hosting an event for SPA partners and SFHA members on building a safe future for Scotland post-Grenfell.
The Grenfell Report highlights the importance of all levels of organisations taking procurement into consideration throughout the lifecycle of projects.
Scotland’s fire standards are already technically demanding and require more stringent standards than England.
However, the event will explore why the industry must do more throughout the entire process.
Clients and contractors alike have a real need to re-examine their practices, and procurement plays a central part in driving this change forward.
You will hear from two experts in their fields, covering not only the fire safety aspects but core issues of procurement, competency and new developments underway to tackle these issues going forward
Speakers:
- Duncan Brock, Group Customer Relations Director, Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (CIPS)
- Sam Hart, Innovation Manager, Construction Scotland Innovation Centre (CSIC)
- Clive Feeney, Director, Scottish Procurement Alliance (SPA)
You can sign up to the event via Eventbrite.
