Procurement Advisory Service – Positives and its Impact
“Since 2016, the Scottish Procurement Alliance has supported SFHA to deliver a procurement advisory service. To date, the service has engaged with 90% of RSLs throughout Scotland and over 1,000 individuals” – SPA
Through SPA’s support and funding, the Procurement Advisory Service is provided completely free of charge for SFHA members. The service has seen interaction with 90% of RSLs throughout Scotland and well over 1000 individuals.
The training sessions have been extremely well received with over 350 attendees in which many have commented that they are extremely happy with the service.
“Public procurement reform has been both a challenge and an opportunity for our members. Whilst housing associations invest significantly in their local communities, many are relatively small and do not employ procurement specialists,” – Sally Thomas, CEO of SFHA.
As well as the Procurement Advisory Service, this will be the third year of the SFHA Procurement Conference. The Procurement Conference takes place on the 13 February and follows the Development Conference which takes place on the 12 February. Both conferences take place at the DoubleTree by Hilton Glasgow Central.
Throughout the two days delegates can expect sessions on Review of Procurement in Public Construction Review, Maximising the Benefits of Frameworks, Community Benefits, Innovation, Planning for the Future, Collaborative Development and Beyond 2021.
Delegate fees start at £219 for SFHA members for both conferences or why not book to attend both the Development Conference and the Procurement Conference for just £375 – a saving of £63! A different delegate can attend each day!
