We are pleased to announce that this year’s programme for the Scottish Rural & Islands Housing Conference is now available on our website.
This year’s programme boasts a range of plenaries and workshops relevant to rural housing providers.
Andy Dean from Community Action Northumberland will open the conference with his view on how to engage communities.
Nick Pollard from Kingdom Housing Association, Nile Istephan from Eildon Housing Association and Polly Jones from SFHA will also be at the conference taking part in an interesting panel session on how we can demonstrate the case for investment in rural areas.
We also have Jeremy Sainsbury OBE from Natural Power leading a session on how to make rural communities sustainable.
The conference features several interesting workshops throughout the two days including how to make rural areas attractive for young people, the planning act – opportunities for rural housing, connectivity and many more!

This year’s conference takes place on the 31 October & 1 November with the pre-conference showcase taking place on the 30 October. The conference will be held over two venues with the meeting and dinner at Easterbrook Hall and accommodation at the Holiday Inn Dumfries which is adjacent to the conference venue.
