Scottish Home Awards 2019
Entries now open until 14 March.
The SFHA is, once again, proud to be sponsoring one of the categories in Scotland’s largest independent awards initiative for the housing industry, the Scottish Home Awards, sponsored by Ross & Liddell.
The 12th annual awards will highlight excellence in new home creation, with the return of a range of popular categories which covers the breadth of the house building industry.
Awards will be presented for affordable flats, stylish city apartments and luxury family homes. This year’s line-up sees the introduction of a Housing Regeneration Project award. Established to recognise a project that has transformed neglected, derelict or deprived urban or rural sites through the delivery of a residential development, the award will recognise a project that has environmentally improved an area while generating positive economic and social impact.
Entries are now being invited in advance of the judging day which will be chaired by Dan Macdonald, CEO of Macdonald Estates. He welcomes four new judges to the 2019 panel, Dr John Boyle, Director of Research & Strategy at Rettie & Co.; Mike Bruce, Chief Executive, Weslo Housing Management; Colin Cumberland, Director of Eskgrove Homes; and Ian Sillars, Regional Director of Real Estate Finance at Royal Bank of Scotland.
Dan Macdonald said: “The Scottish Home Awards are integral in promoting new build housing across Scotland. I feel privileged to assume the role of the chair of the judging panel after having played an active role for 10 years as a judge.
“It’s a great privilege to oversee the rigorous judging process of such a highly regarded programme, and I look forward to receiving and reviewing another impressive bank of entries, showcasing the creation of new homes in Scotland.”
The awards, which typically attract entries from over 60 different housebuilders across Scotland, are staged with the support of one of Scotland’s largest property management firms, Ross & Liddell.
Hopefuls now have until 14 March 2019 to complete their entries which will be accepted online by visiting the Scottish Home Awards website.
