SFHA Annual Conference supporting sponsor focus: Utility Aid
SFHA introduces its Annual Conference sponsors.
The SFHA is exceptionally grateful for the generous and continuous support provided by its sponsors. In the run up to the federation’s Annual Conference, which is taking place on 1 and 2 June, the SFHA will be focusing on a different sponsor in Housing Scotland Today.
Today’s supporting sponsor is Utility Aid. Established in 1998, Utility Aid (UA) is the largest ethical energy broker in the UK, typically placing up to £250 million of contracts every year.
Employing 40 staff across five locations, it is the only broker working with 27 suppliers across the wholesale and retail markets; using its own OJEU framework where relevant.
UA operates an independent Advisory Panel, which includes the former head of Tesco Group Energy and the former Head of Wholesale Trading at EDF. The panel provides larger volume users with insight into procurement and risk management, enabling them to make more informed procurement decisions.
UA provides:

- advisory – procurement & risk
- bureau service – cost recovery, invoice validation and reporting
- administration – COTs/COOs and Voids
