AM Bid, Scotland’s largest bid and tender specialists, will lead the next SFHA Associates Forum at the Scottish Federation of Housing Associations (SFHA) office on Thursday 20 June from 08:45 to 10:15.

Bidding in the Scottish housing sector is becoming increasingly competitive for both commercial and public sector organisations. The seminar will help you decide when to bid, how to score highly on your tenders, and how to maximise your chances of winning.

The seminar will give you the tools to win more business through bidding, by helping you to:

  • understand which housing contracts you are best suited to bid on, and how to identify these
  • understand the complexities of the bidding and tendering process and how to navigate this
  • optimise your technical/quality and commercial scoring within bids
  • make your bid stand out from the competition and ultimately win more business.

It will be hosted by a highly experienced bid expert, Andrew Morrison, Managing Director at AM Bid. AM Bid is currently achieving 80% bid win rates for clients in over 20 sectors, including construction, architecture, repairs and maintenance, care services, accountancy and facilities management. The company is a Corporate Member of the Association of Proposal Management Professionals (APMP), which is the bidding world’s professional membership body.

AM Bid’s spike is that it is led by Andrew Morrison and David Gray, who are both qualified Scottish social housing professionals who moved into bidding. Andrew had 12 years’ local authority experience before moving into bidding 14 years ago. He has sat on the boards of CIH Scotland and Melville Housing Association. Andrew is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Housing and holds a professional bid qualification. In March 2018, he was presented with the Institute of Directors Emerging Director of the Year Award for Scotland for his success in starting and growing AM Bid.

Andrew regularly presents on the secrets to successful bidding at conferences throughout the UK. Following a highly successful workshop at a recent national housing conference, delegate feedback included comments such as:

“I can honestly say it was one of the most useful presentations I’ve been to, with lots of really practical advice to take away and apply in the future.”

“Thank you very much for your insights – great presentation!”

“10/10 – The best session of the day.”

Taking place at the SFHA Office in Glasgow, the forum will begin with refreshments at 08:45 and will conclude at around 10:15 to allow time for questions. The event is exclusively open to SFHA associates and is free to attend. Places are limited and will be allocated on a first come, first served basis.

Book your place online via the forums pages of the SFHA website.
