The Chair plays a crucial and distinctive role within housing associations and co-operatives. They must provide effective leadership to the organisation, all the while managing what can be challenging relationships with a wide variety of people and personalities.
The SFHA has now opened bookings for next year's Chairs' Conference.
The Chair plays a crucial and distinctive role within housing associations and co-operatives. They must provide effective leadership to the organisation, all the while managing what can be challenging relationships with a wide variety of people and personalities. One of the most important of these is between the Chair and the Senior officer, where a balance must be struck in terms of ensuring that both can work together well – whilst ensuring that decisions are effectively challenged and questioned.
By the end of this exciting and challenging two day programme, delegates will have a greater understanding of how effective governance can be achieved through fostering effective relationships.
This conference is aimed at housing association Chairs, governing body members interested in becoming Chair and senior staff members.
