SFHA to hold ‘matchmaking’ style event
The Scottish Government has set an ambitious, but welcome, target to build 50,000 new affordable homes over the next five years.
Building these much needed homes is a great opportunity but also a challenge, as they will be a significant increase on the 33,000 built over the past five years.
This ‘development matchmaking’ event, to be held on Monday 9 January, 10am–2:30pm, Glasgow, will look at examples of how housing associations can work together to deliver more homes, whether by working in partnership, or by matching an association that wants to develop but lacks the staff, to one specialising in development with spare capacity.
Attendees to this free event will hear examples of partnership working from across the country, followed by an opportunity to explore potential partnerships with other organisations and meet associations that you may want to work with on developing new homes.
