SFHA highlights importance of social housing in ALLIANCE integration anthology
SFHA’s Head of Public Affairs highlights the contribution of housing associations to health and social care integration in a recent ALLIANCE publication.
SFHA’s Head of Public Affairs, Sarah Boyack, has highlighted the importance of social housing in health and social care integration in a recent publication by the Health and Social Care Alliance Scotland (the ALLIANCE).
In an article published in “We Need to Talk About Integration”, Sarah talks about the vital role played by social housing providers in keeping people living safe and well in their own homes, as well as the “key position” of housing within Integrated Joint Boards.
Sarah said:
“Health and social care integration is the biggest change to how our public services are delivered and the housing sector wants to play a full part. Great progress has been made in many parts of the country, but more could be done. The Scottish Federation of Housing Associations, as the membership body for the housing associations and co-operatives across Scotland is ready, willing and able to assist in building the networks necessary to put housing at the heart of health and social care integration.”
“We Need to Talk About Integration” is an anthology of contributions by ALLIANCE members and partners, which represent a wide range views from across several sectors.
The anthology is now available to download. For further information, please visit the ALLIANCE website.
